FUN IN THE SON DAY CAMP
Summer is winding down, but we still have two more great Fun In The Son day camps left! Mrs. Beca has had such fun traveling with you kids all over the place this summer! We have hiked, swam, caught minnows with nets and big fish with poles; we have seen Jesus through the eyes of many different Artists and you wowed me with your interpretation of some of the modern art. We learned “So many ways to tell a story”, but most of all we have gotten to know each other and Jesus just a little bit more! I know you’re gonna’ love our next two adventures!
August 6th, 9:15-1:30.
TRIP TO THE MOVIES
Get out of bed you sleepy heads and lets go to the movies! We are going to Spring Lane Cinema in Sanford to see “The Tale of Despereaux” a story about a little mouse with big dreams. You may have seen it before, but have you seen it on the big screen? Mrs. Beca will provide popcorn and the movie is FREE thanks to the “Fun In The Summertime” children’s movie series at Spring Lane Cinema. If you would like other concessions you will need to bring your own money (drinks start at $3.50). We will have a picnic at Depot Park afterward so bring your lunch, wear a swimsuit and pack a towel if you want to play in the huge kids fountain (optional)!
August 13th, 10:30-4:00
Arrgh! Ahoy Scalawags!
Join us for a trip to the NC Museum of history to see their new pirate exhibit “Knights of the Black Flag” and some of the other exhibits like “The NC Sports Hall of Fame”. Come see gold-dust, real pirate booty, the skull of Blackbeard, and climb up the crow’s nest or swashbuckle with a friend! Parents and grandparents are welcome! We will have lunch on the lawn of the State Capitol and then walk over to the Museum of History. The museum is free, but bring $2.00 for a Happy Meal from McDonald’s!
* Please RSVP for this one so we can give the museum a count!
* If you have not filled out a parental consent for our previous trips please get one out of the box on Mrs. Beca’s stair door and return it to the same place.
